Upgrading SlowGold to Version 7.7
To find out what version you own, check the Help\About menu
If you currently own SlowGold version 7.0.34 or
higher...
If everything is working fine, then there is no need for you to upgrade.
However, if you are not able to hear sound when transforming in digital
record mode, or are experiencing other problems, you should download
and install the latest version from our Downloads
Page. Or, if you need to install to a new computer you will need to install
the latest version. Depending on the version of SlowGold that you
purchased and when you purchased, you may need
to pay a $15 upgrade fee in order to obtain an authorization code
for the latest version. You can click
here for further information on obtaining a new authorization code.
If you wish to preserve your SlowGold database
you should make a backup copy before upgrading. The latest version is designed
to preserve your existing database; however, if it is important to you to
preserve the existing database then you should make a back up copy.
To make a backup of the database, copy the C:\Program
Files\SlowGold\SlowGold.mdb or C:\Program Files\SlowGold2002\SlowGold.mdb
(depending upon what version you have installed) to an external location. Then
after the upgrade is complete start up SlowGold and put in a CD you've made
loops from before or open one of your wave files to see if your loops are still
there.
If the database seems empty, then move your old SlowGold.mdb file in to the
C:\Program Files\Slowgold directory to replace the blank one the installation placed there.
The download will perform as a
demo version until it is registered with an auth code. To receive an auth code
please send us an email with your
name, physical address, what version you are currently running, and a description of your
problem (in case we have an alternate solution for you), and we will assist
you. If you did not purchase SlowGold directly from us then you will need
to email us a scan or digital photo of the actual SlowGold program CD.

name and address and what version you are currently running, what Operating
System you are running, and we will assist you. If you did not purchase
SlowGold directly from us then you will need to email us a scan or digital photo

read this:
You will get a $14.95 discount off the purchase price of SlowGold
when upgrading from a registered copy of SlowBlast!, and will have the
opportunity to verify your eligibility for the discount during the purchase
process. If you purchased SlowBlast directly from us, you will be listed in our
database and you can enter your email address during Step 3 of the purchase

If you purchased SlowBlast elsewhere then you
have two methods for providing proof of purchase and placing your order
for SlowGold at the upgrade discount price:
1) click
here and then print out the page that opens, fill it out, and fax
it to the number indicated along with your credit card information and
proof of purchase (legible copy of your purchase receipt or of the
SlowBlast program CD or the program it came bundled with,
along side a piece of mail that shows your name and mailing address).
Your order will be manually entered into the order
system and you will automatically be emailed your order confirmation
with auth code for SlowGold.
2) If you prefer not to fax your credit card
information you can email a scan or digital photo of your purchase
receipt, SlowBlast CD, or the program it came bundled with along side a
piece of mail that shows your name and mailing address to us at
support@slowgold.com. We will
email you a coupon for the discount that will allow you to place your
order at the discounted price at our secure online store.
